International Routesetting Workshop
Join us in Marrakesh, Morocco from February 9-11, 2026 for a first-of-its-kind international routesetting workshop. Hosted at Atlas Elevation, Morocco's first-ever climbing gym, routesetters will be immersed in a competition routesetting environment, developing and honing skills to increase understanding of high-level competition routesetting. Join international routesetter and USA Climbing Level 5 National Chief Routesetter, Cody Grodzki, for three days of experiential learning, one-on-one instruction, and constructive feedback through mock rounds of competition setting. Routesetters will learn and explore what it takes to set for elite bouldering competitions around the world, such as the North American Cup Series, various federation's National Championships, IFSC European Championships, and IFSC Bouldering World Cups.

"The vision to build a climbing gym in Morocco has existed amongst a small community of passionate climbers for many years! In collaboration with Climb Morocco, a local guiding company, and many other local climbers and associations, we hope to share the sport of rock climbing with many more people. We believe rock climbing can elevate lives and bring people together. We hope to see you at Atlas and climb together soon!"
Recommended Experience
We recommend that participants have a strong grasp of competition routesetting prior to attending this workshop. Ideal candidates will have set multiple events, feel comfortable in a fast-paced routesetting environment, and have a solid level of testing ability on competition-style blocs.
The recommended experience level has been put into place to elevate the workshop curriculum for all those in attendance. That said, there are folks who may have the skill sets needed to join as a full-value participant without necessarily fulfilling the outlined recommendations. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out to us directly!
